Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched Andhra Pradesh e-Knowledge Exchange portal ( www.apekx.in ) , a comprehensive online platform for teachers and students to strengthen quality and delivery of learning outcomes in the state. The portal was launched on 5th September 2016. The main objective of the initiative is to connect teachers, students and experts who can engage in discussion forums by sharing of learning resources and tools. It also seeks to improve teachers’ professional development by interactive discussion forums and e-content repository on a single portal. So far 1,70,000 Teachers got registered on the portal. It also introduced point based system for teachers who are actively engaged with the portal.
Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh further envisions that Our Teachers need to be empowered more by ensuring that they have easy access to quality teaching and learning resources and Teacher Professional development courses to develop professionally not just from within the state but also from across the Country. Aiming in the direction, AP became one of the early adopters of the DIKSHA by integrating Andhra Pradesh e-Knowledge Exchange ( www.apekx.in ) portal.
