About Us

The Department of Education, Government of Delhi believes that teaching needs to be a truly professional pursuit, for which a teacher needs a continuum of professional practice, collaborative spaces and actionable feedback. It is a constant process of evolution , all the more so in a world that is always on a state of change. To align teaching with the dynamic realities of today, a new vision for the schools of Delhi is proposed that is rooted in teacher collaboration, innovation and creativity resting on a growth mindset - a model of the very same skills that students must learn in today's dynamic world. Imbibed with the spirit of 'no competition only collaboration', we aspire to empower our students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them as life-long learners, cohesive collaborators and effective leaders.

Diksha Delhi's tenet *LEAD* Learning through E-Resources made Accessible for Delhi is an endeavor to provide trusted on-line resources in the form of energized text books, audios, videos, virtual lesson plans, worksheets and assessments to students as well as teachers. The aim is to complement teaching, save time, help improve instructions and promote personalized learning to keep students more engaged and connected with teachers. This digital portal has the power to transform the teaching learning process by ushering in a new model of connected teaching.

Objectives

To empower teachers to provide more personalized and engaging learning experiences to the students.
Helping the teacher and the taught to go beyond the textbook foraying into the five Es of inquiry based learning- Engage, Explore, Explain ,Elaborate and Evaluate.
Enable the teachers to make the transaction of content more relevant and contemporary and deliver it interactively.
To build capacities of teachers to create and curate contextual digital interactive learning material.
To provide support mechanism for the professional development of teachers.
To build a platform which provides access to digital content, tools and resources aimed at helping them as learner.
Creating a user-friendly global platform for sharing of best practices, a forum for meaningful discussions and a well intended space for peer collaboration.
To keep the teaching learning alive and continue unabated, unhindered through virtual platform in times of uncertainty.

LEAD will empower our teachers to refine and update their teaching-learning skills in a rapidly changing world and facilitate learning based on an all encompassing approach which is customized, contextual , comprehensive yet reflective.
