IGOT

This website is designed, developed and maintained by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel (DoPT), Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.

These terms of use, as amended, govern the usage of iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) by its Users (as defined below) ("Terms"). iGOT is an initiative of the DoPT, Government of India.

By using iGOT, you have accepted and agree to be governed by these Terms, as may be amended from time to time. The terms "you", "your" hereinafter refer to any User of iGOT, including Registered Users (as defined below).

Definitions
1. Administrator means any official or individual authorized to be an administrator of iGOT by an Institutional User of iGOT.
2. Content means and includes, as the context requires,
  1. any text, scripts, graphics, photos, sounds, music, videos, audio-visual combinations, interactive content, features and other materials you may view on, access through, or contribute to iGOT,
  2. all postings on iGOT by Users, and
  3. all types of study material created, uploaded or consumed by a User on iGOT.
3. iGOT means Integrated Government Online Training which is the e-learning platform for civil servants dispersed across the country, an initiative of the DoPT, and is accessible online at https://diksha.gov.in/igot/ and through the iGOT android application, and any includes other sub-domains / extended domains of iGOT.
4. Institutional User means and includes DoPT, any central training institutes, state training institutes, or other such institutions or organizations who are authorized to operate as a tenant on the iGOT infrastructure.
5. Registered Users are
  1. Users of iGOT, who register themselves as users of iGOT in accordance with the requirements specified on iGOT, and
  2. Users of iGOT who have been registered on iGOT by an Administrator with permissions to create, curate, review or publish Content for iGOT, and such users can log in to iGOT with their registered credentials.
6. Users are all-natural persons who access iGOT and access, view or use Content on iGOT, and such Users includes Registered Users of iGOT.
Access and Use
1. Users -
  1. As a User you represent and warrant that you are of legal age and are legally competent to form a binding contract to use iGOT.
  2. If you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of a department, institution, organization or other legal entity (for example, if you're an Administrator agreeing to the Terms on behalf of your institution, organization, government department, non-profit entity, etc., you hereby represent and warrant that you are duly authorized to agree to these Terms on behalf of that department, institution, organization or entity and these Terms are binding on them.
  3. If you are agreeing to this Terms on behalf of a user who is not of legal age, you hereby represent and warrant that you consent / have obtained consent from the authorized person/organization to access, view and use Content on iGOT in accordance with these Terms.
  4. Without registering on iGOT, Users can not:
    1. access and use Content available on iGOT,
    2. create and manage their User profiles, and
    3. share Content with other Users.
  5. iGOT should be used for learning and educational purposes only. As a User, you will be responsible for all your actions and activities in relation to your usage of iGOT.
  6. Your access and use of iGOT may possibly be disrupted due to technical or operational difficulties, without prior notice of downtime.
2. Registered Users -
  1. iGOT allows a User to register themselves on iGOT by:
    - Self-registration;
    - Institution led registration.
  2. Depending on your mode of registration, as a Registered User, iGOT collects certain information about you in accordance with the Privacy Policy of iGOT.
  3. All Registered Users shall follow the policies and guidelines of iGOT as applicable from time to time, including but not limited to these Terms, the Content Policy of iGOT and Privacy Policy of iGOT.
  4. Some Registered Users may have read, write and edit rights on iGOT to create, curate, review or publish Content for iGOT, such rights are given by relevant Administrators of iGOT.
  5. Some Registered Users may be given access to certain types of Content (e.g. courses) and recognition (e.g. certificates, badges) by relevant Administrators or relevant authorities.
  6. When you use iGOT as a Registered User, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your User ID and Password. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your User ID and Password. You agree, inter alia, to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the iGOT registration form or provided by you as a visitor or user of a third-party site through which you access iGOT. If you provide any information that is untrue, inappropriate, inaccurate, not current or incomplete or there are reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, inappropriate, not current or incomplete, or not in accordance with these Terms, the administrators of iGOT have the right to indefinitely suspend or terminate or block access of your membership of iGOT and refuse to provide you with access to iGOT.
  7. Your iGOT registered account may not be transferred to anyone else without our prior written permission.
3. Institutional Users -
  1. Institutional Users can operate as a tenant on the iGOT digital infrastructure.
  2. Institutional Users shall appoint Administrators and shall be responsible for the Administrators' compliance and enforcement of terms and policies of iGOT.
  3. Institutional Users can authorize Registered Users to create, curate, review or publish Content for iGOT and shall be responsible for the Registered Users' compliance with the terms and policies of iGOT. Privacy and Personal Information

2. By using iGOT and/or by providing your information, you consent to the collection and use of the information you disclose on iGOT in accordance with the Privacy Policy of iGOT.
Content Policy of iGOT
1. iGOT has been built with the purpose to enable greater access to learning and training. When you use iGOT, you join a vast community of learners and academicians using iGOT which involves a certain level of trust.
2. Users are expected to respect that trust and be responsible about their usage of iGOT and all its Content and follow all relevant terms, policies and guidelines applicable to Content, including the Content Policy of iGOT.
Changes in iGOT Policies -iGOT may update or modify the Terms, including any policies, terms and guidelines of iGOT from time to time and iGOT will reflect the updated revised Terms. Your continued use of iGOT constitutes acceptance of the then-current Terms. Hence, we encourage you to visit this page periodically to review any changes.
Limited Liability
1. As a User if you collect any personal information or sensitive personal data of users through iGOT, you must ensure that such collection, storage, transfer and disclosure is in accordance with Indian law currently in force, including but not limited to the (Indian) Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures) Rules, 2011.
2. Any information collected by you will not be reviewed, screened or monitored by DoPT, iGOT or the Administrators and under no circumstances shall DoPT, iGOT or the Administrators be liable for any information collected or processed by you.
3. DoPT, iGOT and the Administrators are not responsible for any data or information that is collected by you for the purpose of use of your interactive Content, including compilation for assessing progress and trends among users.
4. iGOT does not guarantee the accuracy of any of the Content made available on the iGOT. iGOT does not take responsibility for any external websites linked on iGOT, including compliance with Indian Government Web Guidelines.
5. You are responsible for all activities and transmissions through the registered iGOT account.
6. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of the username and password required to access iGOT. You must immediately notify iGOT of any unauthorized use of your username or password or any other breach of security by sending an email notification to support@i-got.freshdesk.com. DoPT, iGOT or the Administrators will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision.
7. DoPT, iGOT and the Administrators shall not be held responsible for any offensive or unlawful Content posted, transmitted, sent or communicated through iGOT. You are responsible for all Content posted, uploaded, transmitted, sent and received by you.
8. In no event will DoPT, iGOT or the Administrators be liable for any expense, loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any expense, loss or damage whatsoever arising from use, or loss of use, of data, arising out of or in connection with the access or use of iGOT.
Termination - Any violation or breach of these Terms may lead to automatic suspension or termination of your iGOT account or access to the iGOT, for any reason whatsoever, including while investigating complaints or alleged violation of these Terms, or for use or attempt to use iGOT for any purpose other than learning and educational purposes.
Electronic Agreement - This document is a written agreement and an electronic record and valid and enforceable electronic agreement / contract under Information Technology Act, 2000 (as applicable in Republic of India) and rules there under as applicable and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic records in various statutes under applicable Indian laws. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures. Your usage of iGOT shall be your deemed acceptance of these Terms and all the modifications and updates thereto.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution - These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Indian law. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
Disclaimer - iGOT IS AVAILABLE ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND NEITHER DOPT, NOR THE ADMINISTRATORS GRANT NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO iGOT. DOPT AND THE ADMINISTRATORS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. ACCESS AND USE OF iGOT (INCLUDING ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON iGOT) IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALL CONTENT ON iGOT MADE AVAILABLE BY DOPT AND THE ADMINISTRATORS IS FOR USE FOR TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THOUGH ALL EFFORTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO ENSURE THE ACCURACY AND CURRENCY OF THE CONTENT ON iGOT, THE SAME SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A STATEMENT OF LAW OR USED FOR ANY LEGAL PURPOSES.
