About Us

DIKSHA-Nagaland is a digital platform which aims at facilitating a dynamic community of teachers where they can access, create and share quality content for improved learning outcomes as well as furthering their professional growth and development. The MHRD has identified SCERT, Nagaland as the Nodal Agency under the Chairmanship of the Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, School Education & SCERT with the Department of School Education as an integral partner in this endeavour. This platform aspires to complement and support teachers, working towards creating a teaching-learning system suitable for the needs of the 21^st Century. As a component of DIKSHA, Nagaland has adopted the use of energized textbooks which can be utilized not only by teachers but also students and guardians to organically link learning activities at school and at home. We hope this will further stimulate and spark teachers and students’ appetite for learning and innovative teaching-learning experiences.

Vision

To encourage teachers to embrace ICT for enhancing learning outcomes and to boost their professional capacity, leading schools into new and innovative practices.

Technology is a vital instrument for quality education in the 21st Century. I hope the launching of DIKSHA-Nagaland will be the catalyst for teachers and teacher educators to use and create e-content, bringing a positive shift in our approach to teaching.

Objectives

Support teachers and foster their ability to utilize ICT in teaching.

Provide curriculum linked resources for teachers and students.
Provide a platform for teachers to not only create and share e-content but also modify existing content to suit their requirements.
