In order to enable inclusive, outcome-based, and future-ready education across all districts, West Bengal wants to guarantee that by 2026, all teachers and students in government and government-aided schools have fair access to curriculum-aligned, multilingual digital content and certified professional training modules through the DIKSHA platform, which is run by SCERT.
Objectives of the DIKSHA Initiative in West Bengal:
Augment Digital Accessibility: Offer complimentary, multilingual digital educational resources to all students and educators throughout West Bengal via an inclusive and accessible platform.
Curriculum Alignment: Upload and sustain dynamic textbooks, interactive modules, and ancillary materials consistent with WBBPE, WBBSE and WBCHSE curricula.
Teacher Empowerment: Facilitate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) via DIKSHA-hosted training modules and certification programs for educators.
Information Quality and Localization: Advocate for the creation, curation, and evaluation of information that is localized, culturally pertinent, and pedagogically robust.
Sustainable Capacity Building: Implement a decentralized academic and technical support framework at district and institutional tiers to ensure long-term sustainability.
Real-Time Monitoring and Feedback Employ analytical dashboards and stakeholder feedback systems to perpetually enhance content quality and user experience.
