| Calendar is used to mark duration of dates. Date range is required for various references such as duration of course, duration of time required to complete a lesson etc.

| Any entry which is date specific. The entry will be governed by a specific format which is predetermined in the system.

Certification
| The process of confirming that some fact or statement is true through the use of documentary evidence or any other quantifiable evidence.
| On DIKSHA, certification is awarded to mark completion of a task or a course. Whether a course or a task accompanies a certification is pre-determined. Certification is awarded if only the criteria of eligibility is met.

Class
| A group of students of almost same age brought together to be taught common subjects in school.
| On DIKSHA, class is a metadata. Assigning class details to content created or uploaded on the portal helps users search for content easily. For example, if a game is created for the age group of 6 to 7, then this game should be assigned to class I.

Classroom Assessment
| An evaluation that is given in real time in a classroom.
| Classroom assessments can be created on DIKSHA using the inbuilt content editor.

Collaborative
| Performing an activity or task in a group, where each party works symbiotically.
| Content can be created collaboratively on DIKSHA. More than one user can contribute in the creation and compilation of content.

Collection
| Collection is a compilation of anything.
| A collection can be compiled on DIKSHA using the various learning resources available on the portal or by creating content on the inbuilt content editor and later collating them as a collection. Related or unrelated content can be compiled together. A tuition teacher can compile a collection of worksheets and stories for two or three subjects or only one subject.

| Concept is an idea/theme around which a learning material can be created. Any learning content should be specific to one or many concept.
| There are various defined concepts on DIKSHA. Any learning content created on the portal can be tagged to one or more of these concepts: Literacy, Numeracy, Science, or National Curriculum.

| Expression and elucidation of a thought using speech, writing, images, or any other art.
| On DIKSHA, content can be standalone or a compilation of study material units. The study material can be in video, audio, text or multimedia format. It can be created or uploaded on the platform. All content must have a learning outcome.

| Content creator is any person who creates content.
| On DIKSHA, content creators can create and curate content such as courses, collections, lesson plans etc.

Content Editor
| Content Editors are responsible for all aspects of content, which includes development, design, production, presentation, evaluation and analysis
| On DIKSHA using the content editor, the following content types can be created on DIKSHA: Book, Collection, Course, Lesson Plan, Study Material.
